Claventin Forte

Amoxycillin, the main salt of Claventin Forte suspension, is a penicillin antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections. Another salt that forms part of this suspension is Potassium Clavulanate that becomes effective only as a combination with antibiotics like amoxicillin. This suspension is known to interfere with the synthesis of cell walls in bacteria thereby stopping it from growing further.

Uses:

It is used in the treatment of infections of:

Lungs and airways
Middle ear
Skin
Sinuses
Urinary tract

Furthermore, it can be used for treating conditions like pneumonia, gonorrhea, bronchitis, tonsillitis and stomach ulcers.

Make sure you inform your doctor well in advance in case:

you are allergic to any penicillin based antibiotic or

you are breast feeding since it can be harmful for the baby or

you have asthma, any food or drug allergies or

you have liver or kidney disease
